StarRez Phase II Now In Test Phase

Now In Test Phase StarRez, a new room management system for Penn Housing, is currently in the test phase for Phase II, a portal for House Deans and upperclass students.

Phase II will include an on-line, self-selection housing signup for upper class students and a component for House Deans to assign rooms for their residential programs.

Since Phase I went live in March, StarRez has collected 4000 housing applications and has processed more than 7000 room assignments. A key aspect of the project provided exchange students with PennKeys so they can complete their on-boarding tasks prior to arriving on campus. StarRez, a collaboration between ISC and Business Services, improves efficiencies related to online applications and room selection, billing reporting and inventory.
