Lecture Capture Reports Interesting Statistics

March 24, 2011 :: Shirley Ross, Information Systems & Computing

Lecture Capture reports that 155 class/study sessions have been recorded (as of March 8) for 10 Spring 2011 courses, including Biology, Economics, Nursing, and Science, Technology, and Society. The recorded material for all Spring 2011 classes has been viewed a total of 16,884 times (as of March 8). In addition, Lecture Capture recorded 207 class/study sessions for nine courses during Fall 2010. Lecture Capture is a service of Classroom Technology Services, which falls within ISC’s Technology Support Services unit. At a faculty member's request, a specific lecture or study session is recorded and loaded on the ISC Wowza server. A link to the recording is loaded into the Blackboard page corresponding to the specific course. Students enrolled in that course can then use that link to replay the recording as many times as they want to help their learning.
