ISC Announces 3Q Training Stats

ISC provides for staff training in addition to normal academic education offered through the University’s Tuition Benefit of up to six courses per year.  This additional training helps keep employee skills up to date and covers four key development areas:  emerging technologies, leadership, career development, and current skills. Through 2007 3Q, 59% of ISC employees participated in 339 current skills events, 19% participated in 108 emerging technologies events, 16% participated in 93 career development events; and six percent participated in 34 leadership events.  “Events” include courses in Oracle platforms, Java programming, project management, business process redesign, Microsoft suite, technical certifications, and numerous annual conferences.  For more information, please contact Margaret Smith at smithmh@isc.upenn.edu.
