Join us on Thursday, March 18th when Penn will participate in the National
Internet2 Day events taking place across the country!
ISC will be hosting interested faculty, staff, and students in the Penn
Video Network videoconferencing suite located at 232A, 3401 Walnut Street.
This event will feature a series of virtual presentations, demonstrations
and performance events across disciplines and include netcast and interactive
activities to inform and engage the Penn community about Internet2.
The day will begin at 8:00am and end at 4:30pm, but you do not need to

netcast of the day from your desktop.
Internet2 is a consortium of 205 universities working in partnership
with industry and government to develop and deploy advanced network applications
and technologies, accelerating the creation of tomorrow's Internet. Penn
was a founding member of Internet2 and continues to lead applications,
research and education using Internet2. Internet2 is recreating the partnership
among academia, industry and government that fostered today's Internet
in its infancy. The primary goals of Internet2 are to:
- Create a leading edge network capability for the national research
community
- Enable revolutionary Internet applications
- Ensure the rapid transfer of new network services and applications
to the broader Internet community.
