Apple Power Mac G5 Line Unveiled

October 29, 2003 :: John Mulhern, ISC Technology Support Services

Mac OS X version 10.3.x Panther, released on October 24, 2003, is the latest version of Apple's flagship operating system. Information Systems & Computing (ISC) will only support Mac OS X version 10.3 for its clients, including off-campus students, on new Macintoshes that ship with Mac OS X version 10.3 pre-installed. ISC strongly recommends that all other users adopt a "wait and see" approach, continuing to use previous versions of the Mac OS (including Mac OS X versions 10.1.5 and 10.2.x) until the initial bugs in Mac OS X version 10.3 are identified and fixed.
