Apple Power Mac G5 Line Unveiled

Apple has announced its new line of high-performance desktop systems,
the Power Mac G5. The Power Mac G5 uses a new PowerPC chip developed by
IBM in single- and dual-processor configurations. Other features include
frontside bus speeds up to 1GHz, capacity of up to 8GB of PC3200 (400MHz)
DDR SDRAM memory, and an all-new aluminum alloy enclosure. Availability
of the Power Mac G5 is expected in late August into September.
