Data Warehouse Home COMPONENT TableExplanation A component is a building block of a worksheet. Components contain the information about requirements for Division-wide rules, for major requirements or for minor requirements. The Component table contains the division, degree, major (or minor), concentration and catalog term for which the requirements are being defined. For example: A component for Division = COL, Degree = BA will be associated with the division-wide requirements for the Bachelor of Arts in the College. A component for Division = COL, Degree = BA, Major = AMES, Concentration = CHI will be associated with the specific major requirements for a BA majoring in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies with a concentration in Chinese. On the Advisor InTouch worksheet, a student may choose which components to use in his or her worksheet, adding major and minor components as needed. Common Uses
