PARENT_FUND_CODES Table
Explanation
Lists funds (unique identifiers for specific sets of financial resources that
need tracking or management) with their parent fund codes (that is, their roll-
up groups). A given fund may have more than one parent. For example, fund 990256
(BLACK LAW JOURNAL) has parents FBNORM (Fnd Bal CNAC-ORG-FUND) and AIFREV (ALL
FUNDS, EXCEPT 020000-02999).
Common Uses
Generating reports using fund roll-up groups, showing amounts summarized at
different levels.

Cautions
- The table is only as good as its data. Spurious parent funds may not have
been removed from the table, and some parents may have yet to be added to
the table.
- To create a hierarchy, use a self-join. Connect by prior may work but is
not recommended.
- Data is kept only for fund codes in use. If a BEN Financials roll-up group's
range includes a fund that does not exist, the table will not have a record
for that fund.
