The term to which the dates in this row of the table apply.
Penn divides the academic year into 3 terms or semesters: Fall, Spring,
and Summer. Terms are designated by the 4-digit calendar year, followed
by a term code. The Spring term code is A, the Summer term code is B,
and the Fall term code is C.
Example: 1995C means Fall 1995, 1996A means Spring 1996, 1996B means Summer
1996

A sub-division of a term.
Penn's semesters, Fall, Spring, and Summer, can be sub-divided
into sessions. The majority of courses are taught for the entire semester.
Courses that are taught for only half a semester, or for a special time-frame
that does not fit
into
a
standard semester's dates, will have a term session value of 1, 2, or
S. For 'S', see the course start and end dates in COURSE_SECTION.
Note that in the Summer term, a term session of 1 indicates Summer
1,
term
session
2 indicates Summer 2. Summer courses with no term session are
12-weeks long, spanning both summer sessions.
Values:
1=First part of the term
2=Second part of the term
S=Special session, will have specified dates
. =Not a special session, but a full-term course
