PRESENT PERIOD Table

Explanation

There is always only one row in the Present Period table. All data values in this table are based on the Current System Date; the table contains the Fiscal and Academic time periods associated with "today's date." This is particularly useful if you would like your queries to always use a standard time reference, such as the Current Academic Term.

Common Uses

• Make a query condition where Term = Current Academic Term
• Find the associated Fiscal Year for today's date.
• Find a previous or coming time period, in relation to the current time period ("Find the Academic Term that was two terms prior to the current term.")
