The Student Records System (SRS) term that the current system date falls within.
The Current_Academic_Term will change as soon as the Current_System_Date is past the graduation date for the term. See the SRS_Term_Calendar table for graduation dates.
Penn divides the academic year into 3 terms or semesters: Fall, Spring,
and Summer. Terms are designated by the 4-digit calendar year, followed
by a term code. The Spring term code is A, the Summer term code is
B, and the Fall term code is C. |
Current_Calendar_Month

The month (January through December) that the current system date falls within.
The Current_Calendar_Month will change on the first of each month. |
| Current_Calendar_Year |
The calendar year that that current system date falls within. Calendar years begin on January 1st and end on December 31st. |
| Current_Day_of_Year |
The day of the calendar year that corresponds to the current system date. There are 365 days in the year, with the exception of leap years, which have 366. |
| Current_Fiscal_Year |
The fiscal year that the current system date falls within. Fiscal Years begin on July 1st and end on June 30th. |
| Current_System_Date |
Today's date. Based on Eastern Standard or Eastern Daylight Time. |
| Next_Academic_Term |
The SRS Term that follows the Current Academic Term. |
| Next_Next_Academic_Term |
The SRS Term that follows the Next Academic Term. |
| Previous_Academic_Term |
The SRS Term that preceded the Current Academic Term. |
| Previous_Previous_Academic_Term |
The SRS Term that preceded the Previous Academic Term. |
| Residence_Term |
The term used by the Residential System. Approximately corresponds to the Current_Academic_Term, but follows the Residential System's date requirements. |
| Same_Acad_Term_Last_Year |
The term that corresponds to the Current Academic Term, in the previous year. For example, if the Current Academic Term is a Fall term, the Same Acad Term Last Year will be last year's Fall term. |
