CEN_COURSE_SECTION_TYPE Table

Explanation

This is a view of the TX_COURSE_SECT_TYPE table. It contains the rows for the "C" extract, which comes from the Student Term Extract tape as of the Census Date (defined as one week after the close of the drop period for the term). Section Types for each course section during a term. Contains one record for each section type for each course section that was offered, for each term that the course section has data.

• The Section Type in CEN_COURSE_SECT_TYPE and CEN_STDT_ENR_SECTION_TYPE for a given enrollment in a specific course section in a specific term may not be the same. It is possible for a student's enrollment record to have different section types than the section types on the course section table. This is particularly true for programs like WATU, where participation in a program varies student-by-student even within the same course section.
