OCCUPANT Table
Explanation
Allows tracking of occupants assigned to rooms. This table is not directly
related to the ROOM UTILIZATION table, which describes program activity
and Principal Investigators. There can be more than one occupant per
room
and employees may occupy more than one room.
Requirements and policies for the entry of occupant data varies considerably
from school to school.
Common Uses
To report on University employees who perform all or part of
their activities within an assigned room.

Cautions
- Do not assume that all rooms have been assigned occupants, as policies
vary from school to school.
- Be aware of the difference between a Principal
Investigator assigned space to pursue a grant and Occupant who performs
his or her work in the designated space.
- Contains current occupant data; the OCCUPANT_HISTORY table
is available to view historical snapshots of occupant data.
