COMP_INCREASE_JUSTIFICATION Table

Explanation
Contains data about justifications related to salary adjustments planned in the Salary Increase Program module of PennWorks, created in the course of the annual Salary Increase Program. There is one record per employee role/justification combination; there may be multiple justifications per employee role.

Common Uses
To view, during the Salary Increase Program, justifications for planned out-of-bounds salary or rate changes.

Cautions

• COMP_INCREASE_JUSTIFICATION should be used only in the course of the Salary Increase Program, to view justifications for planned out-of-bounds salary or rate changes.

• This table is only populated in the event that a justification is entered for a planned salary change; it is likely that the majority of salary adjustments will not have related justifications. It is possible for there to be more than one justification entered for a particular salary adjustment (as stored in COMP_INCREASE_ROLE, in which case there will be multiple roles for that related COMP_INCREASE_ROLE_ID. In cases where the "Other" justification type has been selected, refer to COMP_INCREASE_ROLE.JUSTIFICATION to view the related explanatory text.

• You can access a COMP_INCREASE_JUSTIFICATION row only if you are authorized to view Salary Increase Program data in the Warehouse, and you are also authorized to access data for the employee's home center or organization, the role center or organization, or a current joint organization for the employee.

• The COMP_INCREASE_JUSTIFICATION table can be found in the DWCOMP schema.
