COMP_INCREASE_ROLE Table

Note: This table is no longer updated, following the retirement of PennWorks and the implementation Workday@Penn in July 2019.

Explanation
Contains data about employees and their roles as planned in the Salary Increase Program module of PennWorks, created in the course of the annual Salary Increase Program. There is one record per employee/role with the role organization and start/end dates and salary rates currently defined and planned for the role appointment, for the fiscal year in which the data is effective.

Common Uses
To view, during the Salary Increase Program, current information for currently held roles, along with planned dates and rates to take effect at the conclusion of the Salary Increase Program.

Cautions

  • COMP_INCREASE_ROLE should be used only in the course of the Salary Increase Program, to view current and planned role information before the conclusion of the program. Once the Salary Increase Program cycle has concluded, and for more complete information about roles held by an employee, refer to the COMP_PERSON_ROLE table.
  • This table includes only rows for active (non-terminated) employees' roles where the current Role_State is Final. Rows are created in this table only when rapid entry of salary increase data as occurred (e.g., in mid-May 2010, for the FY2011 Salary Increase Program cycle).
  • You can access a COMP_INCREASE_ROLE row only if you are authorized to view Salary Increase Program data in the Warehouse, and you are also authorized to access data for the employee's home center or organization, the role center or organization, or a current joint organization for the employee.
  • The COMP_INCREASE_ROLE table can be found in the DWCOMP schema.
