V_TRANSCRIPT_EVENT table

Explanation

This is a validation table, containing the codes and descriptions for academic events that are non-course related such as milestones passed, proficiencies achieved, honors and other notations.

The warehouse V_TRANSCRIPT_EVENT table is refreshed in batch mode from the Operational Data Store (ODS), which gets its data from the Banner database. The UPENN_ODS source table is SATURN_STVEVEN.

Cautions and notes

• The V_TRANSCRIPT_EVENT table includes codes for academic events that are part of the student's official record, but not all of which appear on the student's transcript. See Transcript_Disp_Ind: a flag on the V_TRANSCRIPT_EVENT table that indicates whether or not the academic event is one that appears on students' transcripts.
