ST_ADDL_ID table

Explanation

The Student Additional Identification table contains other id codes used to identify the student, and the type or source of each code. There is one row per student per additional ID type per additional ID.

Source

The warehouse ST_ADDL_ID table is refreshed in batch mode from the Operational Data Store (ODS), which gets its data from the Banner database. The ODS source tables are UPENN_ODS.SATURN_SPRIDEN and UPENN_ODS.GENERAL_GORADID.

Common Uses

• Identify students' identification codes used in other systems, such as their admissions system unique id.

Cautions and notes

• This table should not be confused with the additional student name types found in ST_NAME_OTHER.
• The additional ID type of PKEY (the PennKey) is also found in the STUDENT table. Both columns are sourced from the same place; the PennKey is stored in STUDENT for reporting convenience.
