HCM_PERSON_CITIZENSHIP_STATUS Table

Explanation
Contains most current available citizenship status information for Workers and Affiliates from Workday. The table includes employees who had Workday records as of July 1, 2019 or thereafter. There is one row per individual.

Common Uses
Determining the citizenship or permanent residency status for individuals managed by Workday.

• The HCM_PERSON_CITIZENSHIP_STATUS table contains records for Workers (employees and contingent workers) and Academic Affiliates managed in Workday.
• This table does not contain details of foreign citizenship information.
• Penn_ID should be used to uniquely identify records in HCM_PERSON_CITIZENSHIP_STATUS, and to join HCM_PERSON_CITIZENSHIP_STATUS to other tables in the Warehouse. Workday ID is an 8 digit field for workers and affiliates unique to Workday.  It is distinct from the Penn ID, which has the same format, but is maintained by Penn Community and is the unique identifier for individuals across Penn’s systems.
• Keep in mind that this is the latest information about an individual with records managed by Workday - the HCM_PERSON_CITIZENSHIP_STATUS table does not keep longitudinal history. Historical snapshots of this information are available in the HCM_PERS_CITI_STAT_SNAP table, beginning with the JUL-19 period.
• You can access an HCM_PERSON_CITIZENSHIP_STATUS row only if you are authorized to access data for the individual's Pri_Penn_Cost_Center.
• The HCM_PERSON_CITIZENSHIP_STATUS table can be found in the DWHCM schema.
