The 4-character CENTER REFERENCE CODE uniquely defined by the school or center identified in the CNAC_CODE.

CENTER_REF_CODE is used to record information important to a school or center but inappropriate for any other segment of the Accounting Flexfield. No two center references will have the same code within a school or center. However, a given CENTER_REF_CODE will have different meanings to different schools or centers.

CENTER_REF_CODE is the seventh and last segment of the Accounting Flexfield.

Examples: 2000 (DEPARTMENT CHAIR); 2116 (MUSIC).

Values:

The name that corresponds to the CENTER_REF_CODE for the school or center. (The school or center is identified in the CNAC_CODE.)

The 3-character CENTER NET ASSET CLASS code for the school or center that defined the CENTER_REF_CODE.

The first two positions of the CNAC_CODE identify the specific school or center. The last position identifies the Net Asset Class: 0 (Unrestricted); 1 (Temporarily Restricted); 2 (Permanently Restricted). CNAC_CODE is the first segment of the Accounting Flexfield.

Examples: 070 (Wharton General Unrestricted funds); 000 (University General Unrestricted funds).
