The unique identifier of each course offered by Penn. A course, in contrast
to a course_section, is not specific to a particular term. A course must
exist at the inventory level for a section of that course to be offered
in a term.
POSITIONS 1-4: Subject Area -- The academic discipline under which a
course is offered. Each academic discipline is associated with a department.
POSITIONS 5-7:
100-399 UNDERGRADUATE COURSES
400-499 MIXED UNDERGRAD/GRAD COURSES PRIMARILY FOR UNDERGRADS
500-599 MIXED UNDERGRAD/GRAD COURSES PRIMARILY FOR GRAD AND
PROFESSIONAL STUDENTS
600-989 GRAUDATE/PROFESSIONAL COURSES
990-999 GRADUATE/PROFESSIONAL INDIVIDUAL STUDY COURSES

be "Shakespeare's comedies." |

(free-form text, with no validation by PennID or ssn against the employee

This may not be the same as the instructor found in the COURSE_TERM table.
For example, the instructor name is often listed as "staff" in
the COURSE_INVENTORY_DESC table, and specific names are assigned to the
various sections of the course only in the COURSE_TERM table. |

Indicates whether or not the course is printed in the Course Register.
The Course Register is a publication of the University Registrar's Office,
describing most courses offered at Penn. It is published twice a year
prior to Advance Registration. The Course Register print flag is used
to prevent special courses from appearing in the publication, for example,
courses taught to private companies at the company's location.
