May be null? yes

The date on which the original proposal for the funding cycle was submitted to the sponsoring agency. Note: in cases where the funding cycle is composed of more than one funding increment (Project Segment ID), Status Date is the submission date for the proposal for the first funding increment within the funding cycle, even when the proposal record that is being queried is for a later funding increment within the funding cycle. Note also: in cases where the project period is composed of more than one funding cycle, the Status Date refers to the first proposal for the funding cycle, not the first proposal for the project period. See also PROPOSAL / ORIGINAL_PROPOSAL_DATE and AWARD / DATE_AWARDED.

The funding cycle is the total period of time for which the sponsor is being asked to make an award for a project (usually 1 to 5 years). The funding cycle can be composed of one or more funding increments. (Each time the sponsor is asked to pay an installment of the award (or to guarantee payment), that installment is a funding increment.) The project period is the time from the date the sponsor first authorized an award for a project through the end of the last funding cycle. The project period can be composed of one or more funding cycles.

Status Date is stored in the Warehouse in date format. In Business Objects, it is displayed as specified in the desktop operating system settings. It is recommended that users specify a date format that includes 4 digits for the year. (To specify the date format in Windows 95, choose the Regional Settings of the Control Panel, select the Date tab and specify the Short date style. In Windows, use the International option of the Control Panel. On the Macintosh, use the Date & Time Control Panel.) Example: 06/30/1994.
