V_DEGREE_LEVEL table

This is a validation table, containing the values and descriptions for the Degree Level codes associated degrees.

The warehouse V_DEGREE_LEVEL table is refreshed in batch mode from the Operational Data Store (ODS), which gets its data from the Banner database. The UPENN_ODS source table is SATURN_STVDLEV.

Cautions and notes

• The Degree Level is different from the Level found on the Student and the Course record. Degree Level is an attribute of the degree. Level, or Student Level, is used to identify the coursework that belongs together on a student's transcript, for a particular Level. See also the V_STUDENT_LEVEL table.
