Financial Aid Race table

Explanation

A repeating table of financial aid applicant race and ethnicity information. If an individual identifies themselves as being part of more than one race/ethnicity that individual may appear with multiple rows within this table.

The warehouse Financial Aid Race (dwngss_pf.fa_race) table is refreshed in batch mode from the Operational Data Store (ODS), which gets its data from the Banner database. The UPENN_ODS source tables are FAISMGR_RORSTAT, SATURN_SPBPERS, GENERAL_GORRACE.

Common Uses

• Identify specific ethnicity and race information for Financial Aid applicants.

Cautions and notes

• This table is a duplicate of the ST_RACE table located in the DWNGSS_PS schema - using the same logic and information. The main difference is that the ST_RACE table is limited to students who have matriculated. The FA_RACE table includes Financial Aid applicants who may not have matriculated to Penn.
