Explanation
Contains most current available visa information for Workers and Affiliates from Workday. The table includes individuals who had Workday records as of July 1, 2019 or thereafter.

Common Uses
Determining the visa status and expiration dates for individuals managed by Workday.

• The HCM_PERSON_VISA table contains records for Workers (employees and contingent workers) and Academic Affiliates managed in Workday.
• Penn_ID should be used to uniquely identify records in HCM_PERSON_VISA, and to join HCM_PERSON_VISA to other tables in the Warehouse. Workday ID is an 8 digit field for workers and affiliates unique to Workday.  It is distinct from the Penn ID, which has the same format, but is maintained by Penn Community and is the unique identifier for individuals across Penn’s systems.
• Keep in mind that this is the latest information about an individual with records managed by Workday - the HCM_PERSON_VISA table does not keep longitudinal history. Historical snapshots of this information are available in the HCM_PERS_VISA_SNAP table, beginning with the JUL-19 period.
• You can access an HCM_PERSON_VISA row only if you are authorized to access data for the individual's Pri_Penn_Cost_Center.
• The HCM_PERSON_VISA table can be found in the DWHCM schema.
