HCM_ONETIME_PAYMENT Table
Explanation
Contains information about one-time payments established for positions managed in Workday as of July 1, 2019 or thereafter. These are ad-hoc payments that are non-recurring and happen one time (e.g. research payments, tuition payments, wellness payments, athletic payments, etc.), managed through the Request One-Time Payment business process. Examples of types of payments may be found at https://www.workday.upenn.edu/home/training/glossary/one-time-payments. There may be multiple rows per worker if an individual occupies multiple positions, or there are multiple pay rows (e.g., for multiple accounts or types of activity) per position and timeframe. Not all positions have one-time payments.
Common Uses
To determine the one-time payments and view associated dates, and types of activity, established for a position.

Cautions
- The HCM_ONETIME_PAYMENT table contains records about one-time payments associated with particular ad-hoc, non-recurring activity for positions managed in Workday, which came into use on July 1, 2019.
- Not all positions have one-time payments. Individuals with one-time payments may also have pay for the same time frame resulting from their positions' compensation plan(s).
- The HCM_ONETIME_PAYMENT table includes information about how the one-time payments were configured for payment, including a status of whether they were sent to payroll; the table does not include the pay results. In order to be paid, the Sent_to_Payroll indicator must be true (values of 1). To view actual payroll results for an individual, refer to rows in the the HCM_WORKER_PAYMENT table.
- Refer to the HCM_WORKER_PAYMENT table to see the actual details of all payments, including one-time payments, for a position for a particular time period.
- One-time payment records include COA ORG, Fund, Program and CREF segments; the Object code will be assigned at the time payments are generated and is not available in HCM_ONETIME_PAYMENT details.
- Penn_ID should be used to uniquely identify records in HCM_ONETIME_PAYMENT, and to join HCM_ONETIME_PAYMENT to other tables in the Warehouse. Workday ID is an 8 digit field for workers and affiliates unique to Workday. It is distinct from the Penn ID, which has the same format, but is maintained by Penn Community and is the unique identifier for individuals across Penn’s systems.
- Keep in mind that this is the latest information about an individual with records managed by Workday - the HCM_ONETIME_PAYMENT table does not keep longitudinal history. Historical snapshots of this information are available in the HCM_ONET_PAYM_SNAP table.
- You can access an HCM_ONETIME_PAYMENT row only if you are authorized to access data for the individual's Pri_Penn_Cost_Center, the Position_Penn_Cost_Ctr for a particular position, or the Costing_COA_ORG or the Costing_COA_Resp_ORG.
- The HCM_ONETIME_PAYMENT table can be found in the DWHCM schema.
