Cautions
and notes
  • Distributions can only be assigned to service or non-service allocations.
  • Distributions can consist of multiple accounts per allocation.
  • Distributions can include partial payments, if all accounts are not yet known.
  • Distributions can have amounts calculated as a percentage of the allocation.
  • Distributions can include research match accounts.
  • When an allocation amount is disbursed to a student's bill, the disbursement is paid from the primary school's clearing account. The distribution accounts are then used to reimburse the clearing account. In both cases, the Grad Funding system assigns the appropriate object code. See GF_CLEARING_ACCOUNT_DETAIL and GF_CLEARING_ACCOUNT_SUMMARY.
  • To clear the clearing account, a distribution must be assigned to each allocation as soon as actual accounts are known.
