CENTER_REF_CODES Table

Explanation
Reference table for codes, defined by each school or center, that are used to record information important to the school or center but not captured under any other segment of the Accounting Flexfield. Contains the 3-character CNAC_CODE (Center/Net Asset Class code), the 4-character CENTER_REF_CODE, and the 70-character CENTER_REF_DESC. For example, the description corresponding to CNAC 950 and CENTER_REF_CODE 1206 is "PEER EDUCATION."

Common Uses
Displaying the description of the center reference rather than the code that appears in a related table. ("Don't show the codes in the report. Show the English instead.")

• While most values for CENTER_REF_CODE consist of 4 numerals, not all do. A value for CENTER_REF_CODE may be 1, 2, 3, or 4 characters long.
