This is a system-generated field in SRS. The logic for populating this in SRS is:

else move ‘D’ to flag.

|
Honors_Program |
RT236 HONORS PROGRAM
NATURAL ALIAS: HONS-PGM-RT
appears on SRS screen 119 |
Identifies the student as an honors student for this term. Used in evaluating
student eligibility for honors sections of courses.
Note that for some honors programs, the program indicator is entered into the first term in which that student has been awarded the honor, and the student remains in that program for all subsequent terms, even though the program indicator is not entered into subsequent terms. For example, if a student has an 'F' in their Honors Program in 2006C, they are considered a Fontaine Fellow from Fall 2006 going forward for the rest of their time at Penn. The 'F' indicator will only be entered in SRS for the first term; it will not appear in subsequent terms, but the student is still considered as being in this honors program. For this reason, it is not advisable to put a specific term into your query filters when looking for Fontaine Fellows. Similarly, you should not join to the Student Term table on term when looking for such programs. If you must filter on term for other reason, use a sub-query to find Fontaine Fellows in any term.
See also Restrict_Honors in the STUDENT_TERM Table.

[Null] No honors recorded for this term

Penn_Id |
appears on SRS screen 103 |
The 8-digit identification number assigned to the student when their
record was created in the PennCommunity database. No two persons have
the same Penn_ID. Only persons affiliated with the University will be
assigned a Penn_ID.
Penn_ID is not stored in SRS, but can be used on screen 103 to look
up a student. It is populated in the Data Warehouse from a extract
from PennCommunity.
Note that because the SSN is still the record key in SRS, it is possible
for two records to accidentally get created in SRS with different SSNs,
for the same person. When this happens, there will be two different
records in the Data Warehouse with the same PennID. Please report all
PennID duplicates to either Data Administration, or the Office of the
University Registrar. |

Ssn |
AA005 STUDENT ID
NATURAL ALIAS: SID-AA
the record key for all student data in SRS; appears
in the context line of all student-related screens
|
For students who are United States citizens or permanent residents,
the Student ID number in SRS is generally the Social Security number
of this student. A Social Security number is a unique number assigned
to an individual by the federal Social Security Administration.
For foreign students and a few other exceptions, the value in this
column may be a Penn-assigned ssn.
Note: Never release a student's Social Security number to
anyone without the student's permission. Whenever possible,
do not include SSN in your query results, and if you must do so,
you do so with the full knowlege that you will be held responsibile
for the careful maintenance of any datafiles, reports or other stored
data containing SSNs.
Please see http://www.upenn.edu/privacy/ for more about the University's
policies and general cautions regarding the use of SSNs. |

data in SRS, and is found in the context line on many SRS screens

B, and the Fall term code is C.
Example: 1995C means Fall 1995, 1996A means Spring 1996, 1996B means
Summer 1996
