COURSE INVENTORY DESC Table

(dwadmin.course_inventory_desc)

Explanation

The Course Inventory Description table has the full text of the course title as it appears in the Course Register publication. Also the instructor names, prerequisites and corequisites, and notes that appear in the Course Register. These data are entered in SRS on screens 125 and 1D4.

Common Uses

  • List all courses where the word "topics" appears in the course title in the Course Register.
  • List the instructor names for all graduate level History courses, as they appear in the Course Register.

Cautions

  • Although there can be more than one entry in the COURSE_INVENTORY table for a given course, there will only be one record per Course_Id in the COURSE_INVENTORY_DESC table. It should be assumed that this description belongs to the most recent entry for that Course_Id in the COURSE_INVENTORY table.
