Prerequisites for Salary Management Training

· how to use this tutorial · data training

Knowledge of the source data. Before you use the Salary Management data in the Warehouse, you should be familiar with the operations of the Personnel/Payroll System. For information about Personnel/Payroll System training, consult The Bottom Line.

Data Warehouse access request form. Before you can access the Salary Management data collection, you must submit a Data Warehouse access request form.

Database concepts. You should understand database terms and concepts such as primary keys, joins, and null values. If you need help with these terms, see the document Relational Database System Concepts.

Ability to use a query tool. ISC provides support to users accessing the Data Warehouse using Business Objects as the query tool. If you would like training in how to use Business Objects, a computer-based tutorial (CBT) is available. Also, some vendors offer instructor-led classes. To arrange to take the CBT, or to find out how to contact training vendors, contact Susan Quant (squant@isc or 3-6038).
