Explanation

This is a table used at Penn for cross-walking many things used in various part of the source system. For Pennant Student Records, the relevant rows in this table are the ones where the GTVSDAX_INTERNAL_CODE_GROUP = 'ACADEMIC TERM'. For these rows, the associated columns define the current academic term, the next academic term, the next next (term following the next) academic term, the previous academic term and the previous previous (term preceeding the previous) academic term.

The source table is maintained by the Office of the University Registrar.

The values found in the rows where GTVSDAX_INTERNAL_CODE_GROUP = 'ACADEMIC TERM' are used to populate the DWADMIN.PRESENT_PERIOD table.

• There are a great many other rows in this table that do not related in any way to Pennant Student Records. Do not attempt to use any values other than the ones found on the rows where GTVSDAX_INTERNAL_CODE_GROUP = 'ACADEMIC TERM', unless you are very familiar with the business purpose.
• The values in GTVSDAX_EXTERNAL_CODE where GTVSDAX_INTERNAL_CODE_GROUP = 'ACADEMIC TERM' are used to populate the academic term columns in the warehouse table DWADMIN.PRESENT_PERIOD. Value values for GTVSDAX_EXTERNAL_CODE for warehouse reporting academic terms are:
