This is a validation table, containing the codes and descriptions for US states and territories, and also for Canadian provinces. States or provinces from any other countries are not included in this table.

The warehouse V_STATE table is refreshed in batch mode from the Operational Data Store (ODS), which gets its data from the Banner database. The UPENN_ODS source table is SATURN_STVSTAT.
