V_LEARNER_MOD table

Explanation

This is a validation table, containing the values and descriptions for the codes that identify the mod or module associated with a student's curriculum record in the source system. This which will usually be: ADMISSIONS, LEARNER (matriculated student), or OUTCOME (curriculum associated with the degree or certificate awarded).

The warehouse V_LEARNER_MOD table is refreshed in batch mode from the Operational Data Store (ODS), which gets its data from the Banner database. The UPENN_ODS source table is SATURN_STVLMOD.

Cautions and notes

• In the warehouse, curriculum records must have at least one LEARNER LMOD code before the student is considered matriculated. Prior to that, their information will only be visable to people with access to admissions data.
