This is a validation table, containing the values and descriptions for the codes used for high schools, colleges, universities, and other institutions of higher education from which students may be transferring credit.

The warehouse V_INSTITUTION table is refreshed in batch mode from the Operational Data Store (ODS), which gets its data from the Banner database. The UPENN_ODS source table is SATURN_STVSBGI. Other information in this table, such as the institution's address, come from SATURN_SOBSBGI.
