V_DEGREE table

Explanation

This is a validation table, containing the values and descriptions for the valid Degree codes that can be used in Pennant Student Records.

The warehouse V_DEGREE table is refreshed in batch mode from the Operational Data Store (ODS), which gets its data from the Banner database. The UPENN_ODS source table is SATURN_STVDEGC.

Cautions and notes

• Degree codes in the legacy SRS system were sometimes converted to new codes in Pennant Student Records.
• Degree codes that start with 'Z' are used with to identify types of concurrent degree programs, such as Dual Degree/Coordinated Multiple Degree, Submatriculant, and External Submatriculant.
