Explanation

This is a validation table, containing the values and descriptions for Attributes that can be assigned to Courses. Attributes can be used to indicate a course meets specific requirements for a degree program, or any other requirements that can be satisfied by passing a course.

The warehouse V_CRSE_PROG_ATTR table is refreshed in batch mode from the Operational Data Store (ODS), which gets its data from the Banner database. The UPENN_ODS source table is SATURN_STVATTR.

Cautions and notes

• Course Sections inherit their attributes from this table, but the section attributes can be modified.
• Note that Course Admin codes are a special kind of course attribute. To find attributes that are Course Admin codes, look for attributes with a description like '%-ADMIN-%'
