Explanation

This is a validation table, containing the values and descriptions for the type of committee a committee member serves on.

Some examples of Committee Types: SRTCOM - Senior Thesis Committee, DISCOM - Dissertatin Committee, etc.

The warehouse V_COMMITTEE_TYPE table is refreshed in batch mode from the Operational Data Store (ODS), which gets its data from the Banner database. The UPENN_ODS source table is SATURN_STVCOMT.
