V_ACADEMIC_STANDING table

Explanation

This is a validation table, containing the values and descriptions for codes used to identify a student's academic standing in any given term. Includes values such as Academic Probation 1 term, Academic Probation 2 terms, Merit List, Dean's List, etc. This validation table also contains some related rules, for example, a flag that indicates whether the presence of the code would prevent the student from being able to register that term. In the warehouse, the code for a student's academic standing can be found in the ST_TERM table.

The warehouse V_ACADEMIC_STANDING table is refreshed in batch mode from the Operational Data Store (ODS), which gets its data from the Banner database. The UPENN_ODS source table is SATURN_STVASTD.
