ST_PHONE table

Explanation

Contains student phone numbers and phone types. Students can have multiple phone types, and can have multiple phone numbers of the same type. In ST_PHONE, there is one row per student per phone type per sequence number.

The warehouse ST_PHONE table is refreshed in batch mode from the Operational Data Store (ODS), which gets its data from the Banner database. The ODS source tables are UPENN_ODS.SATURN_SPRIDEN and UPENN_ODS.SATURN_SPRTELE. In the online Pennant system, the data about students' email addresses can be viewed on the SPAIDEN form.

Common Uses

• Lookup students' phone numbers, or identify phone numbers of a specific type.

Cautions and notes

• Be sure to honor the student's Confidentiality_Ind in the STUDENT table, as well as the Unlist_Ind in ST_PHONE, when determining whether to include their phone number(s) in any report.
