COURSE SECTION RESERVED SEATING table

(dwngss_ps.crse_sect_reserve_seat)

Explanation

Contains information about how departments are controlling the enrollments in specific course sections, by limiting or allowing specified categories of students. A course section will always have two rows per term in this table, one for the number of limited ("unreserved") seats, and one for the number of allowed ("reserved") seats. The reserved/unreserved can be allocated based on categories such as the student's level, major, classification, degree, division, program, attribute, cohort, etc.

Source

The warehouse CRSE_SECT_RESERVE_SEAT table is refreshed in batch mode from the Operational Data Store (ODS), which gets its data from the Banner database. The UPENN_ODS source table is SATURN_SSRRESV.

Cautions and notes

  • The course section reserved seating table is the only way cross-listed sections can independently control seating in the individual members of a scheduled-with group.
