Course Attribute table

Explanation

Attributes assigned to courses in the Course Inventory, that can be used to categorize courses. Attributes can also be use to identify things such as honors-eligible courses, or courses with special Summer tuition, or courses that are multi-term (including which Course ID will be used for the first term and which for the last term of multi-term courses),or for identifying the degree requirements that a course can be used to fulfill.

The warehouse CRSE_ATTRIBUTES table is refreshed in batch mode from the Operational Data Store (ODS), which gets its data from the Banner database. The UPENN_ODS source tables are SATURN_SCBCRSE and SATURN_SCRATTR. In the online Pennant system, the crosslist family number and primary/secondary indicator can be viewed on the SCADETL form, Degree Attributes tab.

• Identifying the attributes associated with specific courses.

Cautions and notes

• When reporting on the attributes associated with a specific course section in a term, use the table CRSE_SECT_ATTRIBUTE.
