This lesson should take about 50 minutes to complete. After completing this lesson, you should be able to identify the three Business Object's universes that make up the General Ledger Data Collection and identify the tables that make up the FINQUERY Universe.

Activity 2

Display the FINQUERY diagram and become familiar with the context of this diagram. (After viewing the diagram, use your browser's back button to return to this lesson). After viewing the diagram, please answer the following questions:

  1. What is the join criteria between the BALANCES table and the ORG_CODES table?
  2. What financial information does the FINQUERY universe allow you to access?
  3. What is a decode table?
  4. Name the tables that make up the FINQUERY universe.
  5. What is the join criteria between the BALANCES table and the FUND_CODES table?

  1. What financial information does the FINSUMQ universe allow you to access?

Display the FINQO2N diagram and become familiar with the context of this diagram. After viewing the diagram, please answer the following questions:

  1. What is the primary purpose of the FINQO2N universe?

  1. COA_ORG = ORGANIZATION_CODE
  2. The FINQUERY Universe provides access to General Ledger balances.
  3. A decode table (also called a reference table) contains the description or meaning of a code.
