Explanation
The UPS_CHARGES table contains records of transactions related to the charge descriptions of packages sent as well as their associated costs.

Common Uses
Reviewing shipment types and their financial charges.

Cautions

  • There can be many address types in the ADDRESS_TYPE field within the TRANSACTION_ADDRESS table that relate to the same tracking number. This will cause dollar amounts to be repeated when linked to the UPS_CHARGES table, and must be taken into consideration when creating ad-hoc queries. An example would be for each package that has an ADDRESS_TYPE of "SenderAddress", there is an associated ADDRESS_TYPE of "ReceiverAddress".
  • The UPS_CHARGES table is stored in the DWBSD schema in the Data Warehouse.
