The WHSE_GIFT_DETAIL_BEN_MV Table

Explanation
A version of the WHSE_GIFT_DETAIL , this table incorporates the designation benefitting unit and uses designation percentages when displaying gift/pledge amounts. It includes multiple rows per transaction when a gift is split between multiple benefiting units (when designation pct is less than 100, there will be multiple rows for the transaction). For example, a designation owned by Student Financial Services may benefit both SAS and Wharton at 50% to each school. Like WHSE_GIFT_DETAIL, it excludes adjustments and reallocations.

WHSE_GIFT_DETAIL_YTD_BEN_MV is a subset of WHSE_GIFT_DETAIL_BEN_MV that contains only gifts and pledges for the current fiscal year as determined by gift date.

WHSE_CAMP_DETAIL_MV is a subset of WHSE_GIFT_DETAIL_BEN_MV that contains only gifts and pledges for the Making History The Campaign for Penn.

Common Uses

This table will be used in reports that calculate school/center fundraising totals.

Cautions
  • This table contains both hard and soft credit for gifts and pledges but excludes adjustments. All rows are valid for reporting. Use care when producing sums of values in this table because summing both hard and soft credit will produce overstated totals. For gifts that are split by multiple benefitting units, output in this table will not match the Atlas transaction register.
